	Abstract:	The material contained in this collection concerns matters between members of the Perrin family and their spouses. Edward B. Perrin (1838-1932) was born in Alabama. He was a physician and worked as such during the Civil War. However, after the war, he moved to California, where most of his subsequent entrepreneurial activities took place. Perrin also took some of his entrepreneurial endevors to Ariaona. He acquired lands, sheep, cattle, and mining interests in Arizona, where he owned about 400,000 acres. The bulk of the papers in this collection represent a portion of his Arizona activities.

His work as an advocate for civil rights and immigration reform in the Mexican and Mexican-American communities is also shown. 	Abstract:	The Genevieve Moore Papers consist of correspondence and research files that Moore compiled in her capacity as editor of Pay Dirt magazine and The Mining Journal. These files contain extensive information on federal regulations relating to mining operations including labor, mine safety, monetary policy, environmental protection, use of public lands, taxation, and trade policy. Although the papers extend from 1912 to 1971, the bulk of the collection concerns federal regulations and corporate management of mining operations in the Southwestern United States from 1945 to 1970.
